Support the Administration in the continued assessment and enhancement of educational
and extracurricular programs at St. Simon School. Programs for 2007 –
2008:
• Middle School Math Program Assessment

Students with Learning Needs - Program Assessment
Admissions and Development
Chair: Therese
Kristensen
Assist the Administration in programs to promote and increase awareness of St. Simon Parish School to our local community and to enhance school admissions. Programs for 2007 – 2008:
• Open Houses (current and new families)
• Kindergarten Readiness Night Presentation (Is Your Child Ready for Kindergarten?)
• Development of Alumni Database and Alumni Programs
Communications and Public Relations
Chair: Joe Cassin
Assist the Administration and PAG in the promotion of St. Simon Parish School to the parish and parent community. Develop and utilize methods, including technology, to enhance School and PAG communications. Programs for 2007 - 2008:
• Web Site Enhancement Project – development of internal and external web site / pages
• Assist Administration in the launch of the New St. Simon School Web Site – Target: Spring / Summer 2008
• Expand Teacher and Administrative communications via Web Site
Technology
Chair: Joe Cassin
Assist the Administration in the evaluation of Technology for St. Simon classrooms as well as the Computer Laboratory and make recommendations. Programs for 2007-2008:
• Formation of Technology Committee (define commitment / rotating board)
• Perform Technology Assessment and prepare a 3- 5 year plan
Health and Safety
Chairs: Pat McGuire and Susan Anderson
Support the Administration in the continued assessment of safety programs for St. Simon Parish School. Programs for 2007 -2008:
• Traffic and Dismissal Program Assessment
• Emergency Bags – Replenishment and Storage Location
• Evaluate emergency preparedness programs and make recommendations to Administration (fire, earthquake, lock down)
• Assist Administration safety issues that may arise
Volunteer Support
Chair: Sally Prout
• Liaison with volunteer leaders as identified by Administration
• Work with Administration to coordinate parent volunteer programs throughout the school and ensure adequate staffing
• Ensure Diocesan volunteer requirements are adhered to
• Coordinate volunteer training
