In addition to Parent Conferences, Back-to-School Night, and Open House, there are a number of vehicles for communicating news and events at St. Simon.
Important information is sent home every Tuesday in the Tuesday Envelope with the youngest school-aged child. This is an effective vehicle for communication between home and school. Parents/guardians are to remove the information from the envelope, read it, put it in a safe place for reference, and return the envelope to school the next day with any required responses.
Each week, students and their families receive the Weekly News, a newsletter from our principal, Mr. Stephen Clossick.
The Focus, our monthly school newsletter, contains a letter from the principal and articles highlighting monthly school and parish activities and upcoming religious celebrations, as well as a school calendar and the hot lunch menu. The purpose of this newsletter is to foster better communication between school and home. The R.S.V.P. feature in the Focus provides a direct channel of communication between parents and principal. Copies of the Focus are sent home with the youngest school-aged child on the last Tuesday of each month in the Tuesday Envelope.
The school newspaper, St. Simon Says, is a quarterly publication which is written and edited by students.
